What you’ll get:In the webinar, economist Vladislav Inozemtsev examines the strategic use of financial sanctions as a tool of modern warfare. He argues that while these measures have significantly disrupted Russia’s integration into the global economy, their direct economic impact remains limited due to circumvention mechanisms, increased public spending, and rising domestic revenues. Inozemtsev also warns that sanctions can unintentionally strengthen nationalist sentiment and domestic support for the Kremlin. He advocates for more precise and effective sanctions to shape Russia’s behavior without causing counterproductive effects.
